Try these easy and chemical free remedies for dog urine odor and stains.

There’s nothing worse than when your lovable dog decides to use your living room floor as his personal bathroom.  If you don’t have the option of ripping up your carpet and floors, try an easy home remedy for dog urine odor and stains.

If you can, it's important to treat the affected area as soon as possible before the area dries. If you are away from home during the accident, you can still remove the odor and stains. Here are some remedies to try.

This home remedy requires the following household items:

Water
White Vinegar
Baking Soda
Hydrogen Peroxide
Dish Detergent
Scrub Brush

The first thing you should do is blot up as much of the wet area as possible with a towel or a paper towel. Then mix three parts water with one part vinegar and saturate the effected area. Let it set for five minutes and then blot it until dry. Next you’ll need to sprinkle the area with baking soda and let it set for five or ten minutes. Now mix one cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide with 1 tsp of dish detergent and drizzle this over the baking soda. Use the scrub brush to clean the area and blot. Vacuum the area to completely dry.

If there is any odor or stain left then repeat it one more time.
